Ms. Fernandez-Medina obtained her law degree from The Ohio State University in May 2001 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2001. Ms. Fernandez-Medina is an avid runner and traveler and a complete nerd, who likes to relax with a good book, sometimes accompanied by martini or a glass of red wine. She spends her weekends hanging out with her husband, daughter, and dog, who are very proficient at making a lot of noise, getting into trouble, and quickly devouring everything she bakes. She treasures her family and friends. 2020 has reminded her of how insecure life is and, in the process, strengthened her resolve and ability to take things as they come and to tackle challenges, even when they seem endless.
